Moon is a Germanic word, related to the Latin mensis (month). The Moon is Earth’s only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days (the orbital period), and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth–Moon–Sun system are responsible for the phases of the moon, which repeat every 29.5 days. The Moon’s diameter is 3,474 kilometres (2,159 mi), a little more than a quarter of that of the Earth. Thus, the Moon’s surface area is less than a tenth that of the Earth (about a quarter the Earth’s land area, approximately as large as Russia, Canada, and the United States combined), and its volume is about 2 percent that of Earth. The pull of gravity at its surface is about 17 percent of that at the Earth’s surface. - Wikipedia

I like staring at the moon at night. It makes me feel like it’s close to me and I want to fly there.
Very nice pictures!
Where did you take the last picture there? Where in Singapore?
Anyway, you must have a very advanced camera to be able to take those close-up moon pictures with no blur or any noise! So cool!

You took the photos?? Wow, those are some really nice shots! I love the first image. Are you using a special lens for it? So great to see the moon upclose and personal. Well done!

You like night photography… don’t you!?
You should – you’re good at it!
I too was wondering about the lens – a standard telephoto you say… you must have a tripod on hand!! Terrific moon images.

Amazing pictures, I would love to take clear shots like that of the moon, but still quite a newbie to photography and got a lot to learn.

Hi VS!
If I’m not wrong, I used the 70-300mm Nikkor G lens.
