Month : Nov / Dec ‘08 Location : Sunset Way, Singapore
This is also part of my very first shootout… Some of the pics I took when I came for the second time cos I didn’t have enough time to cover the whole area the first time round. We had to climb up a hill to get here. The railway has been abandoned for a very long time. The train was used to transport people between Malaysia & Singapore. After the shoot, I had insects bite all over me.. but it was worth it.. LOL!

I went there to take the abandoned railway track before, haven’t been back there to explore it further, I stayed somewhere in the neighbourhood.
You have nice shots here, do explore it further and you would find more interesting opportunities for photos !

You stay around there? Cool! I would love to explore further if I’m staying that area..
And you should too.. I didn’t really explore as much as I want to cos I went there in the evening
and it was getting dark. Furthermore, the railway is kinda scary to walk on..lol!
There’s even bonus – insect bites! ;P

hii
i am planning to have a group shoot for me and a bunch of my photog mates at this railway track, however have heard some stuff i hope you could help me clear up?
1. some people said the track is demolished @_@ is it still there?
2. how do i get there? ( via mrt, bus etc) or even better an exact address n map and stuff so i can navigate there?
3. how safe issit to actually go there @_@ haha. i heard there r like.. laws n stuff @_@ would we get killed or sumthing if we went to shoot @_@
4. and… literally how safe @_@ looks liek a long way down *gulp* can u fall through the gaps? haha!
5. is there any other section of the track?
June 9th, 2009 at 2:23 am
The tracks are still there, don’t worry.. It’s not demolished yet.
It’s at Clementi, can’t remember where exactly and I have no idea how to get there by public..
You can try to search for it and search that location under street directory. They should be able to tell you how to get there by bus. Laws? I don’t think so.. haha! It should be fine for a shootout there, no problem.
Safety-wise, you have to hike up a small slope up to get to the tracks and when you’re up there, it’s quite safe but you’ll still have to be careful as there are large gaps in between and some of the planks are unstable. Lastly, I’m not sure if there are other sections of the track but I doubt so though..
I hope I’ve answered all your queries.. and before you go, remember to put on some insect repellents.
Thanks for visiting!

Hi Yz!

Terribly sorry for the late reply..
Yeah, I was having some problems back then and I couldn’t even log in but it’s now fixed and running as per normal..
You managed to go to the site? Cool..
I actually went up via the basketball court side and you’ll have to climb up the hill from there.
You might want to be careful while climbing up..
So did you take any pictures? How was the outing? I hope it was a success..

Terribly sorry for the late reply.
I hope you get to read this..
I’m so sorry but I can’t help you answer your question as I did not take public transport to all the places.
I’m afraid you’ll have to google it out. Sorry…. and yes, climbing the hill is necessary.
Hope it helps!
